purchased, but will not receive access to the Daily Highlights or
the RWC Archive packages.
Can I just order the matches I
want?
Yes! All matches are available on a Pay-Per-View basis. Pricing
varies as the tournament progresses.
How does pay-per-view
work?
Pay-per-view (PPV) lets you watch individual matches either
Streamed or as a Download on-demand. You can watch the selected
game as many times as you want for 14 days from date of purchase.
Your license will expire 14 days after purchase whether you watch
the match or not. PPV customers can either Pre-Order matches prior
to when the match is available or buy the stream or download when
it becomes available.
How long do I have access to
the RWC Plus content?
All of the subscription packages (Rugby World Cup Pass, Supporters
Pass and Knockout Pass) are valid from date of purchase through
February 28, 2008. Individual match PPV licenses are valid for 14
days after date of purchase.
Can I watch live matches
on-line with RWC Plus?
No. All the full match videos are delayed 24 hours from the full
time whistle.
When will the videos be
available to Stream or Download?

content be available?
- The Match Audio is available live.
- Each Match Preview is available 12 hours prior to kickoff

Is RWC Plus available all over
the world? From what countries can I watch Rugby World Cup
videos?

restrictions.

broadcasts?

The minimum system requirements for RWC Plus are:
System Requirements
- Windows 2000 or XP (Mac OS X and Linux not
supported)
- Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher (cookies enabled)
- Windows Media Player 9 or higher
- For Streaming: High-speed broadband connection
- System clock set to the correct time zone, date, and
time
Don't have Windows Media Player? Click
here to get it.
Do you support the Macintosh or
Linux operating systems?
You cannot watch RWC Plus on systems utilizing the Macintosh or
Linux operating systems. This is out of our control as those
operating systems do not support the Windows Digital Rights
Management (DRM) technology used to secure the content from
unauthorized use.
Do I need a broadband Internet
connection?
A broadband connection is required for best results with RWC Plus.
Although not recommended, you can use a dial-up connection to
download content, but a dial-up connection lacks the bandwidth
required to stream RWC Plus content. For best results, we strongly
recommend that users have access to a robust broadband connection
(750kbps or better) to the internet to enjoy the videos without
buffering.
How do I watch the
matches?
To access the match videos, click on the one you want to watch and
you'll be taken to that individual game page. From the area for
subscribers below the main country flags, choose either the
"Stream" or the "Download" button. You'll then be asked to sign in
with your email address and password, and will be automatically
redirected to either the Windows Media Player or a download
interface box.
How do I play my streams or
downloads?
If the file you've purchased is a stream, the video will begin
playing in your Windows Media Player. If the file you've purchased
is a download, the file will be downloaded to your hard drive and
will play in your Windows Media Player. The download files are
encoded at a higher bit rate (700kbps) than the streamed versions
(500kbps), so the download video quality is slightly better. Note:
After you have downloaded a match and before you disconnect from
the internet, be sure to select "Play" and view the file for a few
seconds. Playing the file briefly allows for the authentication key
to be imbedded within the downloaded file's security features,
which is required before the file can be played. After the license
is imbedded you can view the content at your leisure without an
internet connection.
How can I pay for RWC
Plus?
You can pay by credit card or Pay Pal. Visa is the preferred method
of payment for RWC Plus. MasterCard, Discover and American Express
are also accepted.
If I'm not a subscriber
already, what do I have to do before I can watch a
match?
After selecting a RWC package or individual match on PPV you will
be prompted to register. During the registration process, you will
need to provide your credit card information. Once you've
registered, RWC Plus will confirm your purchase and your media
file(s) will be accessible to you. Please note in order to validate
your billing information, as part of the registration process, a
$2.00 charge will temporarily appear on your account. This charge
will automatically be reversed whether you make a purchase or
not.
Nothing's happening after I try
to register. How come?
You'll need to turn off the pop up blockers. You can either turn
them off or hold down the Ctrl-key while clicking register.
Is my credit card transaction
secure?
You can rest assured that your credit card information is secure
because RWC Plus uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), a highly
sophisticated online encryption service for transporting your
credit card information.
What am I allowed to do with
the matches that I download?
You can view the matches as often as you like throughout the
applicable license period, which is through February 28, 2008, for
the Rugby World Cup Pass, Supporter "A" & "B" Passes, and
Knockout Pass holders. Each Pay-Per-View license lasts for 2 weeks
from the date of purchase. Please note that you are prohibited from
using RWC Plus content for commercial gain.
Can I save downloaded matches
onto other devices or DVD's?
No, RWC Plus utilizes Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology to
protect RWC content from unauthorized distribution and viewing.
Can I make the picture
bigger?
Yes, there are at least three ways to make the picture full screen.
The easiest way is to just double-click on the video after it
starts playing and the screen size will change to full screen. You
can also use the "video size" control under the "View" menu on
Windows Media Player to set the size of your picture to full
screen. Or click on the button with the arrow at the bottom right
to make the image full screen. (Use your Escape key to exit this
mode.)
What is the quality of the RWC
Plus video experience?
The streaming bit rate for all RWC Plus content is 500kbps and the
download bit rate is 700kbps. Click here or on the "Free Preview"
icon on the site to sample the streaming quality. Downloads will be
slightly sharper in video quality.
In the past I have had problems
with buffering when watching video over the internet. What can I do
to ensure that I will be able to enjoy the RWC Plus video
experience?
We recommend you test your service to make sure it will support the
bandwidth requirements for streaming video. Our videos are streamed
at 700kpbs, but we recommend that you have at least 750kbps speed
for a quality experience. Bandwidth depends on your Internet
Service Provider. It can be affected by network traffic and other
users at your location. RWC Plus suggests the following:
- Do a web search for "test dsl connection" to find sites where
you can test the speed and quality of your connection.
- Turn off any other programs that are sharing your connection
like other browser windows and email programs.
- Re-start computer to close other programs that may be running
in the background.
If I'm already a MediaZone
Rugby annual subscriber, do I get a discount to RWC
